I first used this in Langeleben in the old QL 'back to back' Bedford's which was the Setroom.Used in conjunction with the Frequency Meter (shown below) both of which formed part of the B111 Spec Op Trade test. Probably the most advanced receiver of its type at the time and was used extensively throughout the Sigint community.Weighed around 100lbs.

The R206 MK1receiver went into production around 1942 with the mark 2 version following in 1945. They were built to a very high standard specifically for radio interception and DF stations. A bit of a beast to operate; they were around for a long time.
